We survived post-holiday laziness, a laggy connection, poor editing choices, and the flu to get this episode out there to y’all, but we finally did it! We’re wrapping up 2018 with everybody’s favorite awards show, The Really F%cking Good Television Awards Show (For Nice People Only). Highlights include an in-depth discussion of our DVR romance, Kelsey’s Target boner, the reveal of Mr. Hot Or Tall 2018, and some sneaky little Eurovision easter eggs. Thanks for hatewatching with us through another year, y’all! We’ll be back soon for Pilot Palooza 2019!

This week we are taking you through the hole in the fabric of space-time, back 5 weeks to our first attempt at returning from hiatus. It was a simpler time when Kirstie was getting a lot less sleep and watching a lot more TV, and Kelsey was living her best RomCom life. First we discussed all the TV Kirstie watched on maternity leave, including the gringiness of 90s sitcoms, the argument for the 30 minute sitcom as a format, and Kirstie admitting she was right to lose the great Brooklyn 99 Fight of 2018. Then we have a rare opportunity to put a positive spin on everyone's favorite segment, Netflix, What Have You Done? With a pep in our step and sheer delight in our mics, we review the Netflix RomCom To All The Boys I loved Before, as well as praising the platform for their contributions to the RomCom Renaissance. For the second week in a row, we're glad to be back!

If you're looking for more jokes about ship flags, you've come to the right place. This episode begins with an adventure into Scrabble content that goes to a real weird place. Then, we have a fight complete with media criticism trash talk about Brooklyn Nine-Nine, NBC's Schur-a-palooza, and lazy viewing. Don't forget the bonus content where Kelsey accidentally ghosts the podcast!

We are overcome with friendship this week as we FINALLY discuss a topic near and dear to our hearts: Television Friendships. We cover some greatest hits like Anne and Leslie and partners who are cops (cops who are partners?), Kelsey does a Teddy impression, we wax poetic about tv friendships as instructional texts, Kelsey gets a dig in at Kirstie's cat and Kirstie gets a final dig in at Downward Dog. All of this then got us thinking about what happens when people disagree about television. What do we do when people watch bad television, people are wrong about television, people don't like our input on television, television becomes a proxy for these, our modern times or people are too attached to Game of Thrones? Honestly, we aren't actually sure. Join us for a long and wandering journey through our feelings, insecurity, and soul searching in an attempt to avoid crushing the spirits of other TV watchers. There's no right or wrong way to tell this story, except this is maybe wrong.
